MedSoul EDTA K3 Tubes are used for routine immunohematology testing i.e. red cell grouping, Rh typing and antibody screens, and viral marker testing in screening laboratories. The interior of the EDTA K3 blood collection tube wall is coated with Tri potassium – Ethylenediamine-tetra Acetic acid which binds calcium ions thus blocking the coagulation cascade. Our EDTA blood collection Tubes can be used in direct sampling analysers without actually being opened. Blood smearing should be done within 3 hours after blood collection

Micro Collection tube is mainly used in collection, storage, pretreatment and transportation of capillary blood specimen. It is suitable for newborn babies, infants, prostrate patients in ICU and other patients in ICU and other patients who are not able to collect venous blood ( like those with bad burn). It is also suitable for collection small-volume venous blood specimen ( usually less than 1ml ). The tube is made from virtually unbreakable and highly transparent polypropylene.

2.These are generally used in Radioimmuno Assay –a scientific method used to test antigens (for sample, hormone levels in the blood) without the need to use a bioassay

3.  PP vials are clear and can withstand 3000*g RCF during centrifug ation while the transparent polystyrene vials can withstand 1400*g RCF.

4. The PP vials can accept common acids, alkalies & solvents at room temperature while the PS vials can accept mild bases, weak acids but not organic solvents.


5.  PP vials are autoclavable while PS vials are non-autoclavable
